My name is Edward Lynch, and I have been registered as a BER assessor since 2021, initially performing this role in my spare time while working primarily in the electrical building industry, I have since transferred to a full time BER audit assessor, using my experience to assess over 200 properties, and counting!
I currently work with property owners, estate agents, solicitors, developers and property managers all over Ireland, providing BER certs for sales, grants and letting purposes. I recognise that many clients require BER certs rapidly, be it to go to the market or close a deal. As a result, I am constantly refining my processes at and investing and utilising the latest technology and software so that I can provide faster turnaround times.
A Building Energy Rating (BER) certificate rates your home's energy performance on a scale between A and G. A-rated homes are the most energy efficient while G-rated are the least energy efficient. A BER certificate is the first step on your energy efficiency journey and post-works BER Assessments are required for SEAI grant approval.
